Pan Card (NSDL/UTI)

Pan Card, also known as Permanent Account Number, is a unique identification number assigned to individuals and entities by the Income Tax Department of India. It is a ten-digit alphanumeric code that is used for various financial transactions, including filing income tax returns, opening bank accounts, and investing in financial instruments.

The Pan Card contains important information such as the name, date of birth, and photograph of the cardholder. It serves as a valid proof of identity and is accepted by various government agencies, financial institutions, and other organizations.

With the increasing adoption of digital technology, it has become easier for individuals and entities to apply for a Pan Card online. The Digital Bharat Pay portal, which is a digital payment platform, also allows retailers to create a Pan Card for their customers. This is a convenient option for customers who do not have a Pan Card and need to apply for one quickly.

To create a Pan Card on the Digital Bharat Pay portal, the retailer will need to enter the customer’s personal information and upload their photograph and signature. The application will then be processed by the Income Tax Department, and the Pan Card will be delivered to the customer’s address.
